A bogie hearth furnace is a chamber furnace with a movable hearth. The load sits on a trolley (the bogie) that rolls out for loading and rolls back in, so very heavy or awkward parts can be handled with ease and the loading capacity is practically unlimited.
The standard range goes up to 1400 °C, and we build to special requirements. The controller sets ramp, soak and cooling rates, with PLC control available. Furnaces can run in open air or under a controlled atmosphere, with in-and-out or through-and-through (double door) bogie movement for process lines.
Heating can be electric, gas-fired or oil-fired. Tight sealing and thyristor power control keep energy use down, and the chamber design gives even temperature across the whole load.

Common questions
What is a bogie hearth furnace?
It is a chamber furnace entered from one side through a trolley coupled to the door. The trolley can be fitted with supports or tracks made for your product.
